Did you know that every second people all over the world are searching for answers to their spiritual questions on the internet? It's true.
A friend of mine, Margaret, who was my discipler/Bible study leader on Clearwater Beach Summer Project 2006, works for Global Media Outreach (the internet ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ). I never really understood what GMO was until I joined staff this summer and stood in awe of the giant TV screens displaying, in real time, people searching for God.
I just got Margaret's prayer letter and was blown away by how big our God is and how He is moving in the hearts of every tribe, tongue, and nation. GMO is Google's largest Christian presence.
She shared that in 2010 there were 15,507,537 decisions for Christ (recorded). That's right. More than 15 MILLION people met Jesus on the internet last year. Incredible.
This is one of many reasons why I love working for a Christ-centered mission organization. Check out the Great Commission 2020 website and be in awe. (I'm not gonna lie, I've spent hours just staring and praying for the world).
