Ministry Update

I've created this blog to keep you up to date with my ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ in Charleston so you don't have to wait for my monthly prayer letters!

After much prayer, Christine (a sophomore Chi Omega) and I have decided the Lord is leading us to start something in the Chi Omega house. Since it is February, the "love" month, starting tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Chi Omega house we are having a two week movie discussion about "love" related topics.

Tomorrow night we will be discussing the movie He's Just Not That Into You. Every girl wants the fairy tale happy ending. Every girl wants to be the "exception" and not the "rule." We will discuss where and what we find true satisfaction in. For some it may be relationships, doing well in school, or even partying. Our hope is that we will be able to share our personal stories about where we find true satisfaction and how it is possible to have a "happy ending."

The purpose of this event is to not necessarily share the gospel, but to first build relationships with these girls, with the hope of sharing the gospel with them later. We have found that the culture of the CofC campus is not too receptive of heavy gospel presentations, but rather building relationships first in order to share the gospel.

Please pray that tomorrow night will go smoothly and that the girls will have fun and get to know one another better.
