Tuesday night at the Chi Omega house went GREAT! Six girls (not including Christine and Madison who were helping) came to the event. We hung out for a few minutes in the kitchen, eating delicious Ghirardelli brownies and ice cream. :) Remember, the purpose of this event was to get the girls to get to know one another better. I really feel that they did (and their comment cards indicated so)! We talked a lot about having a "fairy-tale" love story and how we as women fixate on this for our whole lives (thanks to the wonderful world of Disney).
Overall, the girls had a really great time getting to know one another on a deeper level. They told me they were excited about next week..."How NOT to Lose A Guy in 10 Days" as we discuss how to find a love that lasts. Pray that through these events the Lord would give us wisdom in where to go from here and how to continue building relationships with these young women who desperately need the love of Jesus in their lives!
The Chi Omega president was at the event and thought it was a hit! Christine and I met with her on Wednesday to "interview" her about being a leader on campus and how Campus Crusade for Christ can resource her in her leadership skills.
Christine and I were very encouraged to find out that the president is a believer!!! She is trying to grow spiritually, but its been hard with being the new president of a sorority and balancing her school load, but she is excited to see what the Lord has in store for her sisters. Please pray for her and her walk with the Lord, that she would be strengthened and understand the great spiritual legacy she can leave in her house.
