This week

On Wednesday night I held a Residence Life program for Kacey,an RA in College Lodge at CofC and a leader in our Crusade movement. We did the "How NOT to Lose A Guy in 10" Days discussion (the same one I used in Chi Omega). It was a HIT for sure! There were about ten girls that came and we had a blast talking about the myths that romantic movies portray and what the difference is between "early love" and "mature love."

It seemed to bring up a lot of questions about dating and the purpose of dating. Two girls in the group are in a relationship and as we discussed the various questions they began to question their relationship and if it is heading into a "mature love." Which I'm sure scared them because they are freshmen. But, all in all, it was a great program and I'm sure the girls are still discussing the issues we talked about.

Two girls came in late and missed the entire discussion, but just wanted to hang out. I introduced myself to them and just began talking to them about where they are from, how are they adjusting to college, what do they like to do, etc. They were very confused as to what my job is. "Wait, you're not a student? What do you do?" Great way to lead into spiritual conversation! I gave them a brief synopsis of what my job entails and then shared my testimony of how I came to know Christ. Neither of the girls considered themselves "religious" but are interested in talking further about spirituality.

I think these girls are a little timid to meet with me so pray that I can get an appointment set up with them to continue our conversation about God.
