I just received an email from Chad, the SC Lowcountry Campus Director, about the Spring Break trip to NYC. Thanks for praying!
We want to thank you so much for praying for our spring break trip to New York City. There were 22 of us from Charleston Southern as well as 80 other students from UNC-Chapel Hill and several other campuses who went to NY. We saw 13 students (future leaders) trust Christ during the trip on some of the most prestigious college campuses in the country. Of the 13 students who trusted Christ, 10 of them were led to Christ by Charleston Southern students. We give God all the glory, but we also feel like this trip was bathed in prayer and that we saw so much fruit because of your prayers. With NY being a pretty dark place spiritually, thirteen is by far the most the NY staff team has seen trust Christ in one spring break week. Thank you again! -Chad
Here is what some Charleston Southern students had to say about their week in NYC:
I found out that I can share my faith with anyone at anytime. This trip has given me the confidence to go back to CSU and share my faith on campus. -Joshua Christmas
Before this trip I had never tried to share my faith with anyone, but after I now feel capable of going up to a complete stranger and telling them that Jesus Christ wants to have a meaningful relationship with you, telling them in a way that comes off genuine. -John Orgel
I had never evangelized to complete strangers before so, that was a new experience as well. During the trip, I really learned about who I am as a daughter of Christ. I also learned that God can change lives! Sharing the gospel with people, I had an opportunity to see people's faces light up as the gospel made sense in their heads. -Nancy Castillo
The trip showed me how many lost souls there are out in this world, not only in other countries but right here where we live. -Stephen Perkins
The trip humbled me and brought out a side of me that I had never seen. -Wally Munoz
