The Traveling Team

Last week the SC Lowcountry had the privilege of hosting The Traveling Team They are a team of four (there are more, but we only had 4) who travel and talk to college students about God's heart for the world. They spoke at our weekly meetings and to our student leaders.

I heard the Traveling Team when I was in college and absolutely love what they share! Even this time around I learned so much! They talked a lot about the "10/40 window." If you aren't familiar with what that is, it is the longitude and latitude coordinates stretching from West Africa to East Asia. In this small area, 50% of the world's population lives here. Of those, 2.4 BILLION people are unreached. Unreached means they have little to no access to the gospel. They don't have an opportunity to accept (or reject) the gospel. Only 2.4% of missionaries are reaching the 10/40 window. Kind of eye opening really.

A big thing they shared was the difference between a Christian and a world Christian. The world Christian understands God's heart for the world and is committed to God's word, God's world, and God's work. You don't just become a world Christian over night. It's a process that never ends. Some verses they shared include:
Genesis 12:1-3
1 Samuel 17:46
Psalm 46:10
Matthew 24:14
Matthew 28:18-20
Revelation 7:9

It's so neat to see ONE theme in scripture: God loves His people and wants to bring everyone into a relationship with Him. I encourage you to look at these verses. They showed us a cool diagram but I couldn't find it online.

So ask yourself this: Do you want to be a world Christian? Do you want to have a huge impact on reaching the NATIONS? This is God's heart.
