I don't really like the term "New Year's Resolution". I've made New Year's Resolutions before, who hasn't? But, after about a week I forget about the ones I made and go back to my normal way of life. So this year, thanks to my wonderful friend Biz, I now have a list of about 20 goals for the year 2011.
I like the word goal better than resolution. I feel like goals are more measurable. But, call them what you want.
Here is a sneak peek of my 2011 goals:
1. Study one book of the Bible each month.
2. Be more intentional with new friends and old.
3. Enjoy all Charleston has to offer (this is such an incredibly beautiful city with so many restaurants I'd like to try (I'll have to save up for a lot of them!)
4. Put on lotion every day (This one is in honor of my dear mother. She always tells me and my sister that when she is old and can't do it herself, one of us has to put lotion on her elbows and feet for her...I do believe that is a job for the oldest!)
5. Cook all the way through a cookbook (No I am not going to cook through Julia Child's cookbook. Too complicated. Not that healthy. I'm thinking this one :)
So my challenge to you today is to make a list of things you'd like to accomplish in 2011. It could be as simple as flossing regularly (which is totally one of mine!).
Much love,
SJ
