Esta Bien

Hey y'all! Sorry it's been a while since my last post. The internet in our hotel hasn't been working all that great. So many things to update you on what's been happening here in BA.

So far, we've seen about 20 Argentine students trust Christ! Crazy! This past Friday we had a Vida Estudiantil event for all 6 campuses that we go to. They have one every month for all the campuses. After passing out what seemed to be a million flyers and intentionally inviting students we meet, 25 new students (students not involved with Vida Estudiantil) came! That is 24 more than last months Vida meeting.

The event was the ending to a three week campaign to promote http://www.cadaestudiante.com/ (the same thing as http://www.everystudent.com/). It's been said that Argentine students who spend about 8 minutes on this website hear and respond to the gospel positively. The weeks prior to this week they discussed why God exists and different religions. One of the Argentine Campus Crusade staff gave a talk on "Why bad things happen" (and yes, we had an English translator Thanks Nancy! :)) It was so fun to meet Argentines that our students have been meeting and sharing their faith with on campus.

Saturday my group went back to the orphanage and played with some sweet kids. We made fruit loop necklaces and the kids LOVED it! This Saturday the entire project is going to another orphanage to play with kids and paint.

This week on campus my team is painting ALL of the rails around campus (good thing I like painting, but not a good thing that I didn't bring any clothes to paint in. No bueno.). Last year the summer project painted all the benches and the adminstration allowed the Vida Estudiantil movement to come back on campus (they had been kicked off). Even though we may not feel like we are doing much to further the Kingdom, it will help the movement in the long run. It also shows the students their that Vida Estudiantil cares for and loves the campus. And it helps to have the administration on your side. Maybe the guy who is letting us do this will trust Christ! :)

Last night we invited some of our Argentine friends to come and teach us how to salsa. It was so fun! Salsa dancing may be a new favorite thing.

Anyway, that's what's been going on here in the Tina. I'm already recruiting students to come back with me next summer! :)

Here is the latest video update.
