Don't Cry for Me Argentina...

Well, I've been back in the good ol' US of A for a week and a half and I'm still getting used to the scorching hot weather. I miss Argentina. Every time someone asks me how it was, I get really excited to tell them but don't really know where to start and then I get really sad that I'm not still there. Oh, how I can't wait to go back!

We saw the Lord do some crazy awesome things in our 6.5 weeks. We saw 26 students invite Christ into their lives! PTL! Before I left for Argentina, I was really nervous about sharing my faith on a college campus. I was feeling a little rusty considering I've been raising support for the last year. Despite the language barrier and fears, we stepped out in faith and trusted the Lord to use us. And He did.

The University of Buenos Aires is free for all students. Which means there are students from all over South America that come to the UBA to study.  In a sense, the entire continent can be reached.

For instance, while we were out sharing one day, Clifton and Cowboy (his real name is David, but he wears a cowboy hat, so naturally we changed his name) met Marco from Peru. Marco had to go to class and told the boys he would meet with them later to do the survey. Marco was very interested in talking to them about spiritual things but only spoke a little bit of English. One of the STINTers, John Mark, who knows the language really well, went with them and they ended of up sharing the gospel and Marco trusted Christ! If Clifton and Cowboy hadn't stepped out in faith to talk to Marco, his life may not have changed that day. And now, Marco can take the same life changing gospel back to his friends and family in Peru. How awesome is that?!

Here are some pictures from the summer taken by some of our students. I'd post my pictures but sadly I lost my camera.

The Women's Bridge
Hanging out at an orphanage
My awesome campus group with some students from the Agronomy campus

Bus rides can be a little terrifying at times.

I just thought this was a pretty view of Buenos Aires at dusk..
Us girls with two students involved in Vida Estudiantil, Maria Sol and Jose.
Cari (left) is one of the STINTers. Even though she says she's from SC, I'm pretty sure she's Argentine.
Church. "My life is yours, Jesus"
I wish this picture captured the wonderful street noise that is music to my ears. (I'm completely joking)
Argentine Tango in the street.
The Obelisk of Buenos Aires. Looks a lot like the Washington Monument.
The team in Uruguay for debriefing.
I hope these pictures give you a better glimpse into our time in BA. Thank you to all the students I pirated these pictures from after hours and hours of stalking you on Facebook. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers and support for me and my team as we traveled to Argentina to spread the love of Christ. Even though we've been back for over a week now, I'm still getting used to life in the US and longing to be back in Buenos Aires. Continue to pray for me as I discern where the Lord is leading me as I am praying about when to go back. All in the Lord's perfect timing.

Chau,
