Vida a La Playa!!!

Hola amigos!

We wanted to do something special for the VERD (Vida Estudiantil Republica Dominicana) for all of their hard work this semester (especially when all those Americanos came into town) as well as getting them connected (the three universities) to each other.
You know, because we are a family.
So because we live on a beautiful island.....

We went to la playa (that's beach in Spanish!)

Not only was it a fun time for us to connect and hang out with each other, it was also refreshing to worship with my brothers and sisters in Christ on the beach and hear from one of the National Cru staff about
the vision of Vida Estudiantil.

Leyla shared with the group about the vision of Vida- to win students to Christ, build them up in their faith and send them out into the world to win and build others. This is the heartbeat of the movement. If we aren't focused on giving every student on campus an opportunity to respond to Jesus and helping others grow in their relationship with God, then we are nothing but a Christian club.
And we do not want to be a club.

Here are a few pictures from the day:

This dog is at Playa Caribe every time we are there. She is the sweetest three legged dog.
She's a cute little begger
too so you gotta watch out.
I've shared many a ham and cheese sandwich with this sweet girl.
Playing Futbol Americano
Juan Marcos and Gerard playing

Karly, me, Minda, Star....
and Popi being a creeper. haha :)

I'll leave you with this hilarious video of Dominicans (and David)
playing American football.
It's a good thing baseball is their national sport and not football! :)

Blessings,
